- A parallel port needs an IRQ assignment just as a serial port
- does, so there's nothing new except the blinding speed of a
- Centronics-like connection and the need to get a modem with
- parallel I/O and compatible software. I've got one: The ZyXEL
- 2864 Elite.

- Some day a smart guy will invent a SCSI interfacing modem.
- When that day comes, you won't need one of the precious IRQ
- levels for the modem. I'll then line up to buy one. All my
- three parallel ports are in use, and I could do with one or
- two more.
